Which countdown do you need?
- A countdown to a date (this page) counts the days, hours, minutes and seconds to a moment, such as a wedding, a product launch or the end of a sale.
- A countdown timer counts down a length of time, such as ten minutes for a class activity. You can share a live link so others see the same timer.
- A countdown page is a full-page countdown with its own link, for sharing when you don't have a website.
- An email countdown is an animated image for your emails. It shows the time left when the image loads. Some email apps load images early or reuse a saved copy.
Set the right time zone
Choose the time zone where your event happens. Everyone who sees your countdown then counts down to the same moment, wherever they are.

What people count down to
Weddings, birthdays, holidays and the last day of school. Teachers use countdowns for class deadlines, and shops and event organizers use them for sales, launches and ticket deadlines.
